The Miriam Odemba Foundation has visited Al Madrasat Istiqamah in Vingunguti Miembeni, Dar es Salaam, where it donated prayer carpets to provide a comfortable sitting space for children during their madrasa lessons.
During the visit, the foundation observed that children still face challenges in accessing quality religious education, particularly the shortage of Juzuu Ammah and mashafu (learning boards), which are essential for their studies.
Speaking during the event, a representative of the foundation said, “We recognize the importance of religious education for our children. That is why we came to support this madrasa with prayer carpets. We believe every child deserves a conducive learning environment, and we will continue working with stakeholders to help meet the pressing needs, such as Juzuu Ammah and mashafu,” added Raykhan
Madrasa supervisor and teacher, Miiraj Mohamed, also expressed gratitude on behalf of the children and management, saying: “ I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks on behalf of our leadership and all the children for the prayer carpets we received for the madrasa. We say thank you very much and send many prayers from the children. May God bless you greatly and continue to grant you strength and good health.”
The Miriam Odemba Foundation pledged to strengthen its collaboration with communities and stakeholders to ensure that children receive not only proper spiritual upbringing but also access to resources that support their religious learning.
Founded with the vision of “Changing the Future of Tanzania,” the Miriam Odemba Foundation is committed to empowering communities through education, skills development, and social support, both within Tanzania and internationally.
